Aside from being compassionate, genuine and a Registered Professional Counsellor (Cand.), Certified Life Coach, Cerified in Career Exploration and Development and Registered Yoga Teacher, my own story, experience, authentic passion and turning my purpose into my business come into play here.  I’m action and results oriented so let's get busy!

My Story

Being adopted I always felt a little bit different.  I spent most of my life searching for my identity, unique career purpose, expression of who I authentically am and a sense of belonging and deeper meaning.  From someone who didn’t find that in school, I went my own way to choose a career in alternative health at a young age.  Taking many personal and professional growth courses, spiritual training, assessments, experimenting and searching for 'the' career and not wanting to go the safe and traditional route (which when I tried I was desperately unhappy) – I get it!  Only to finally get in my 30’s that ‘life is not about finding yourself, it’s about 'creating yourself’.  We all want that deep sense of satisfaction and purpose, knowing that we make a difference.

When I started my own business living abroad, it was so natural to me, I loved it yet I still felt like I didn’t fit into the normal career world.  I didn’t see my own unique gift, sense of leadership, courage, creativity and success offering my service.  Little did I know how important it was to offer my unique work, be authentically who I am, be different, inspire change and embrace my leadership.  I learned it's not about finding what you want 'out there' but from 'in here', inside you and creating your life and career from that.  This is the ultimate journey of your unique purpose and world service.  After all, there is no one like you.  Living, giving and expressing this in the world will bring you true fullfillment.  The only reason you are ever dissatisfied is that you are not living to your fullest potential and you know you're made for more.  Frankly, life is too short to settle for less!
I’m now passionate about helping others embrace their leadership, how else will we create the world we truly want to live in?  My message to you:  ‘It’s ok, actually imperative, to be who you are (THE WORLD NEEDS YOU) and create the life and world that you only dream is possible and… It Is POSSIBLE and Dream Big.’ – We can’t do it alone, so let’s create a better life and world together!

My Background

With a wellness background (nutrition, massage, yoga, meditation) for over 15 years, I know it’s possible to have inner peace, centeredness, deep contentment and joy no matter what circumstance.  That’s not to say I haven’t struggled with my own internal state or at times lived like I was victim to my external circumstances!  I also know it’s important to master our state of being if we truly want to create a life we love and give our unique service.  Much of our suffering comes from our thoughts.  We don’t realize how much choice and power we actually do have!  In my work I help you master your internal state and connect to what inspires you while powerfully taking action.  

After returning from working in the Caribbean in 2009 I did my training for Counselling from the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training and Life Coaching training with Rhodes Wellness College in 2011.  I've recently recieved my certificate in Career Exploration and Devleopment from Vancouver College of Counsellor Training.  I’ve worked one on one therapeutically with people for years and have entrepreneurial experience running my own small business in Belize, in Canada and working on many start-up business and non-profit projects.  

Currently I'm a mentor for the YMCA's Youth Mean Business program and a mentor for the YWCA's Connect2Success Women's Mentorship program.  I aim to be actively involved in the Vancouver women's entrepreneurship community.

My Passion

My passion is for community, projects that make a positive difference, leadership, youth leadership, empowering women, change-makers and start-up, progressive, social and women entrepreneurs in their world service and enJOYing life.  I like to consider my work 'playing on purpose'.  Mostly, I Love my man, my friends, nature, hiking, simplicity, learning anything new, being active and travelling.

I aim to follow the 3 point bottom line law in business of people, planet and profit by offering a sliding scale to clients in need, pay it forward system, volunteering in the community and being available to give talks to young girls and youth in school on self esteem, leadership and following your dream.  If you are an interested school, teacher, youth or women's organization please contact me.
